The subject I like best in school is geography and the subject I hate is arithmetic. Even from my younger day, I have been longing to know more about other countries and the people who live there.

Geography teaches me not only about my own country but also the neighouring countries and the world in general. From what I have studied, I have a longing to see London, Paris, New-York and Tokyo. I have heard much about Mount Fujiyama, the snow-capped mountain of Japan. I also want to see Japan during the cherryblossom season. I want to see New-York and its sky-scrapers.

Geography interests me because without visiting these places I learn about them in books. For pupils like me who are poor and cannot afford to visit these places, the knowledge of geography is all the most useful. My favorite school subject is English because I enjoy expressing my thoughts and ideas through writing. It allows me to be creative and explore different perspectives. Reading various literature pieces also broadens my knowledge and helps me develop critical thinking skills.

First of all, being good at English, I can talk with foreign people and tourists, which expand my knowledge about each culture in the world. Besides, English documents provides a more accurate and original source of information. As a result, reading them, I can gain a deep knowledge in any field such as science, economics,… Furthermore, I can watch films, read news in English without subtitle. In the future, after graduating, with English skill, I can join international organizations or multi-national corporations and have a good career. It’s also a common sense that people who know English will have a higher salary than the others with a same job. I want to go abroad to study as well so English is necessary. In conclusion, English is an interesting subject and quite important for my future.

Friendship is like something very noble, not everyone has this friendship. But I was lucky to have this friendship and my best friend is Linh Giang. We go to the same school and are in grade 7b together. Giang is a beautiful girl, she is tall and slim. She has long black hair and small brown eyes. She is very smart and confident. She always helps me with my homework after school. I like her because she is good to me and always helps me learn English. I hope in the future our friendship will last forever

Hi,my name 's Quynh Anh.Im in class 6A at Thanh Mai secondary school.My best friend is Linh.I'm tall,sensitive and caring.Linh is thin,talkatie,curious and active.In the morning,we'll have a school group from 7 am to 10 am.In the afternoon,we will paint some picture for the art.Then we will play sports.At 7 pm we'll walk and eat ice cream.At 8 pm we'll study andprepare for the lessons of the next day.today is very wonderful !

Hello eveyone! Let's introduce my shelf. My name is Dang, I'm eleven years old and I study in class 6a1 at DL Maria Quria Secondary School. At school, I like English best because I want to be a translator in the future. I like fish most. I am tall. I have a small nose and big ears. I'm very hard-working, clever and I also funny beacause I usually make my classmate laugh.

Distinguish Between the Two Descriptions
The last step in solidifying the use of these two types of descriptions is to distinguish between the two of them. Do some activities that combine the two points together in order to compare and contrast. Give them opportunities to describe people they know both by how they look and how they behave. You can do more surveys here to reinforce the language and to add to the ever-growing list of new vocabulary. One of my favorite activities to practice the two together is by providing the students with a blind date scenario. Put them in pairs and tell them that they are going to match up one of their friends or classmates with their partner. The partner can ask questions about the friend/classmate and can then decide if they would like to have a blind date. You can take it one step further and do a dating role play or get into discussions regarding meeting new people and relationships.
