Antarctica is a snow-covered continent. The average temperature at the South Pole is -51C. Few plants or animals can live on the land- it is too cold for them. There are a few scientists from different countries who live and work on special bases in Antarctica. On midsummer's day ( December 22 nd ) there is a daylight for 24 hours and so during this period a few tourists ships and planes come to see this strange land. But in winter there is no daylight for months. It must be terrible place during the winter. The snow is always there- winter and summer – but in fact , little snow falls in the year ( an average of 12-20 cm). People say that it can be a beautiful place . At first , it appears frightening but after a little time , some people fall in love with it.

            Last summer, Lan invited Mary, a friend from England to her home village in Do Son. The village lies near the sea. They stayed at Lan’s uncle’s house. Weather and Climate in Vietnam in Summer

In Summer, the average temperature across the country is 25 degree Celsius (23 degree Celsius in Hanoi, Hue with 25 degree Celsius, Ho Chi Minh City is 26 degree Celsius).

Vietnam features the specific tropical monsoon climate humid, with the summer is hot and rainy (called the rainy season) while winter is cold, the level of rainfall reduces (known as the dry season).

Vietnam is very hot in Summer, temperatures can reach 37°C, rain can appear suddenly in the afternoon, lasting about 1-2 hours

The form of wind in the North and South are different. Every time the wind blows, Hanoi still remain heat of the day, while the Southern is cool and pleasant

However, in late Summer, the temperature will be cool and more preferable.
